Location of computer???

The other day, I was looking for the engine computer off of Jeff's Elan (RIP) at my mechanic's. I crawled into the left footwell to feel around. Nothing. WHAT?! On Lola, it's on the left footwell. Are there different locations for the ECU for different builds?!!

RHD is in the left footwell behind the glovebox, LHD might be behind the glovebox in the right footwell

That's where it is on MY Elan, but somehow, it's not on Jeff's. I'll look again. Hope it was my being an idiot and in a hurry.

I think that there are two different positions depending on whether air-con is fitted. However, I think that both positions are under the dash on the near side.
