LGM Valence and other fun stuff.

Postby GoM100Go » Fri 19.04.2013, 06:20

Finally had a chance to post a couple pics (iPhone quality :-/ )of my Little Red Lotus. New stuff includes the LGM Valence, center wheel caps I modified by painting them silver to match the rims taping over the emblem in the center and praying the edges. I did not like the black ring that showed around the emblem once on the rim. Splash guards. Also visiable is the dash cap (the flat black never looked finished to me) that I painted charcole grey along with the knee bolster (also looked strange black) - I will add a pic of later, My next project is the HID's I just ordered. My appologys to LGM I promosed these pics in November when I finished the valece project. I love the look of the valence, thanks.

Beautiful results!! Very, very nice job!

The fruits of your labor are definitely appreciated, LGM! In fact they are appreciated so much that there is no telling just how much I would be willing to pay (or do) for one of these valances. Seriously. I'm sitting here with my elan and my proper tailights and I really, really like the part that you have built. It's the way the tailights should have looked in the first place...spot on.

Is there ANY way possible that more can be made??? I'm getting really tired of my porsche driving neighbor asking me "How I'm coming with my fiero"? :( Or my allante!

Just found this topic. Being a new M100 owner & just finishing up my "66 Elan would also be interested in re-doing the back end of my "new" Elan. When & if you decide to do a second run I am very interested. Beautiful work. Ron

What is this, please?

The bit I always think looks unfinished is the bottom edge of the windscreen when you look at it from outside. I thought that I had some trim missing until I saw at the Lotus Festival that all Elans are like that

It's the oval cover for the fuse area, I also paint matched the knee bolster under the FED steering wheel.

Thank you. This has never troubled be, even though it is a different colour to the dashboard. It can't be easy to repaint it so as to make it the same colour and finish as the rest of the dash.
