Rush

Postby Enright » Fri 20.09.2013, 10:31

If you have the slightest bit of interest in F1 (or even just decent films), then SEE THIS!
It's one of the best films I've ever watched - certainly the greatest car/racing related one. Ron Howard's take on Apollo 13, was good, but I'd say this is even better.
So many great moments. Characters with real depth, from a time not that long ago when every driver accepted the 20% risk of dying at every race they ran.
Lots of input from Lotus and Classic Team Lotus too.

My Lad went to see it and he was amazed at how well put together this was, the attention to detail is something else I believe, I'm hoping to see it this weekend, have seen a few clips advertising it and the characters are pretty good too :D

Off to see it tomorrow.

Did you catch the BBC4 documentary about the '76 season last night?

You couldn't make it up

ETA to say I was offered a place in the crowd scenes - filmed about 2 miles away - but I was on holiday (sigh)

Saw it last night. I was at Crystal Palace in 1970 and it didn't look right ;)

Enjoyed the film, though.
