Just bought an S2.
Can anyone identify what exhaust I have on it from this snap? I've been told it might be a Piper but where would I look to be sure?

It looks a bit like a Piper, mine has Piper engraved on the top of the silencer out pipe. Should be obvious from that viewpoint in your pic.

It also looks like my silencer, and I have a Powerflow 2 1/4" fitted.

don't suppose there is a receipt in the 'file'.........
failing that without getting your measure out and getting under the car you're not really going to know....
how about asking he PO (previous owner).........you've probably already done this but thought Id ask :-D

The file's not bad but not spotted it. Seller didn't know, but thought it was a silencer, not a system. Yes, will have to get underneath :oops:

I suppose I need to know whether the cat is still there...

the S2 has Cat and 'PreCAT'.....
it can happily pass the MOT with only one of the two cats insitu......
just ask GeoffSmith... :-)

Early S2s can pass (legally) with no cats. The cutoff is 31/7/1995.

All I know is that it is definitely NOT a Peco or Paul Matty exhaust so that narrows it down a bit
