Well when my car was collected the clock had been removed and an Eletronic Boost setting/gauge fitted in its place, this has now been rectified and a clock now back in its rightful place.

Now where do I place that Turbo Gauge ?????

Strange place for a boost gauge - or a clock for that matter.
The indicator stalk blocks it off.
I don't think mine works. I don't care because I can't see it anyway.

Agree totally, still trying to decide where to put the Boost Gauge so that it's in view, replace the ashtray would be an option but mine is stuck in solid so frightened of damaging the dash to remove it

I'm a bit confused! The turbo boost gauge is the left hand one of the three dials top centre of the dash board, along with oil pressure and voltmeter. So what have you got that you don't know where to place??

On N/A Elans, the clock was analogue and in that same position. For turbo models, Lotus replaced the analogue clock with the boost gauge and re-positioned the clock as a digital one behind the stalk, taking great care that no-one could see it, either because of the stalk or the light.

John, the unit is actually a Gizmo Boost Controller which also shows the boost as the turbo kicks in, it has a digital reading LED so needs really to be in a position I can view it just for the fun of seeing the boost level.

When Paul first fitted it in the place of the clock, I told him not to!!!

Whilst I could see it fine from the passenger seat, he couldn't from the drivers seat - BUT THAT WAS WHAT HE WANTED.

Basically, the system was set up with me driving and him playing with the buttons and knobs from the passenger seat - until it was as required. Then as he drove, he wasn't distracted by the ever-changing flashing LED display, which can soon become a bit wearing - especially at night - hence, its apparently bad positioning.

Cheers for the update Dave, i haven't really posiioned it any better to be honest but I did want the Clock back in place, as such I have modified the blanking switches to form a new place for the gauge, as you say you don't really view it when driving so it does become a little bit defunct once the setting up is done.
