I'm confused. The pics of the car are all in the problem solving thread, yet the problem solving is now in this one, and another one has just been started (which I've nuked).
In the same way that pressing a lift button doesn't make it go any faster, scatterbombing the forum WILL NOT get the problem sorted any quicker - it will just annoy normally helpful people as they'll have to read the same stuff in lots of different places.

Sorry to hear your selling it on because of the issue. Solved ekapol's no spark issue by fixing the grounding issue to the head (the mechanic forgot to attach the lead to the grounding lug on the back of the head near the power steering reservoir). My spark issue was a faulty ground to the coil base plate. It's a shame that something so minor had soured your experience.

has lots of history also has full log book ,brakes are sticking on due to being stood ,think it has full stainless exshaust system not sure will have a look ,all parts

been a bit busy at the moment but the elan still has a spark issue ,this morning seen that the laquer is peeling and bubbiling up as the weather is getting to it now,it has every mot from new and every bill for everything ever bought and replaced on the car ,has all history up untill it stoped working 5 year ago

its been in a garage until the begining of this year its now on a driveway at the moment ,wen pulled out of the garage it was in the carpets were dry but a bit green but ,the car us coverd up at the min as its starting to get wet has two holes in the roof but cud be fixed ,everything has been checked and everything points to the ecu not working the brakes were stuck on but have been free'd ,ladythorpe2 has come and viewed the car, with a bit ov time spent on her she would be on the road in no time ,last tax'ed in 21/6/2008 ,will take photo's tomorrow so you no what the elan looks like inside and out for you clemo
