Hi All,
So my Elan has failed its MOT due to weeping of one of the compensator valves. Mine have 2/15 1434 engraved on them and I've found some on ebay (see link below) but they have different numbers on them. Would I be able to use these?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Opel-Kadett-E ... 4acb592800I know the other option is to recondition the valve with new O rings (I've heard that this is problematic and I have no idea what size they are) or to buy the redesigned valves but they are so expensive on SJsportscars and they don't have the brake pipes I would need.
This is my daily driver so I need to get this sorted and retested asap, any help would be very appreciated.

Hi
Check out the WikiLEC entry "Brake Proportioning (Bias) Valves". This gives you the low down on refurbing the valves and also the "O" ring dimensions.
