I'm currently working on a conversion of the stage one body to a stage two. The difference is in the way the rear spoiler is attached to the bodywork. I have never liked the stage one type, it seems overly complicated and a poor design. I have made 'bucks' of the part of the spoiler that connects to the rear body work, but I really need a couple pictures from a USA car so that I can make the conversion look OE. I could do with a picture that matches the second picture, one of the underside of the trunk/boot where the spoiler fixes and a picture of the spoiler support ... could anyone help with this?
Cheers Chris

Chris:
Not exactly what you asked for since I can't get to the car for pictures right now, here is a link to a collection of pictures from the rebuild and other cars I took snaps of as I was working. Lots of different angles so maybe you will get all of the details from the pictures.
They are in alphabetical/numerical order by name, so not in any order that makes sense. Most are full sized as taken - I didn't edit them for size or composition - so you can download them and enlarge them quite a bit.

Thank you very much for that, I think they answer most of the questions i have about the shape, a couple of adjustments and I should be there. It looks like you did an awful lot of work there!!!
Obviously if anyone has any other pictures that they can share, that would be great. (the more info the better)

So I am making good progress with this, rear side panels moulded and the spoiler cut down and supports made. Can any one send me a picture of the inside of the boot/trunk as I need to see where the bolts go through that hold the spoiler???? It would be a great help.

Interesting wee job there Chris, looks good. What did you use to bond the parts together on the rear quarter?.

Am I right in assuming you're particularly directing that question towards Federal Elan owners Chris?

They are bonded on with a lightweight epoxy filler, it really strong stuff, then skimmed and sanded level.
Yes your right Neil, I'm looking for a picture from the guys in the US!?

Here you go: These are reduced to fit on LEC. The files in the folder are full size and uneditted. I hope you have enough detail. The extra holes at the bottom edge are for the stand-offs that keep the boot lid stable. If you need a picture of those, I will have to dig them out of the project boxes.

7 more in the folder below

4 more in the folder below

All pictures are in this folder: http://www.lotusm100.com/LEC/boot-lid
