M100 savvy garage needed!

Can anyone recommend a specialist who works on the M100 near Preston in Lancashire?

Or try Banks service station nr Southport or Club Lotus sec Linda Aughton in Southport. Neither are M100 specialists but will point you in right direction.

There's TrackVRoad at Clitheroe.

Considered them when I first got my Elan but eventually found somewhere closer to where I live.

All depends on what you need doing, banks service centre, are in hesketh bank just of the A59 they deal with mainly lotus europa's they build a space frame chassis's for them and stick all manner of engine's in the back they have a superb set up and know m100,

But if you get him on a wrong day he will not give you the time of day , on the other hand he's shown me round his work shop and small show room filled with all his toys,
Or if you any good with a spanner i could point you in the right direction,

I am reasonable with a spanner where can you point me, I have had the actuator off and freed the pivot arm all is ok looked for loose pipes but still the same and I did the paper clip method to read off the faults but it doesn't work with the management light flickering dimly only. I have an Elan scan lead but no laptop.

Have another try Kev, but with a better piece of wire you probably had a bad connection.

I tried everything different wire in and out squashed in you name it!

Hi Kev, not sure if this helps, I am also experiencing the same problem, and was told by an ex owner that was also having the same problem to check the plugs going into the ecu as sometimes these can come loose and cause this fault, it worked for him. good luck
