**SOLD** Hard top for sale. £1,250. **SOLD**

Hi all,

I sold my Elan a few months ago, having bought an Elise 111r - not sure I've made the right decision there, as although the Elise is a bloody great car, I think the Elan has bags more character. Anyway, ... that's a story for another day!....

In the meantime, the buyer did not want the hardtop I have (he is going to keep the car garaged and not use in the rain), so I am now looking to sell that.

It was originally from a green Elan SE, but I had it resprayed blue to fit my Elan S2. However, I never got round to fitting it.

Here's some pics:

Comes with fitting instructions and required fitting attachments (see pic above).

Condition is perfect, aside from a couple of very small issues:

- The fabric underlay has started to become slightly unattached at a couple of points on the underside of the roof (this will be a simple case of reglueing it in those spots).
- The white seal that runs inside the black seal (see close up pics above) is coming slightly lose. Again, an easy task to fix. (either glue in or replace).

Aside from that, perfect condition, and could (obviously) be resprayed any colour you like :)

Will stick on FeeBay shortly, but thought I'd quickly post here first to see if any interest.

A lot of cash for a roof that still leaks though lol I'm going to have a go at making one from an mgf in the summer. Who has these moulds anyway?

When on my Green Elan the roof was absolutely watertight. I never got round to fitting in on my Blue S2 Elan, but think it would probably yield the same result.

Have received quite a few PMs about this now - have just got round to replying to them all.

So as to be completely transparent here, the price I have quoted is £1,250.

Hi can I ask a simple question. Do you have to remove the original hood to fit the hardtop or will it fit overtop for winter and be taken off in the summer? Regards DavidM.

That's a SPC hardtop.
The roof stays folded away. Its stowage cover needs to be removed.
