hi ,exhaust info please

Postby tobyholland » Sun 05.01.2014, 19:53

Hi all
I am after two stainless pipes ,they are the two middle ones out of the four sections ,my car only has a box on the rear,
Any ideas where they can be purchased, preferably from an UK exhaust manufacturer ,
Thanks
Toby

It all depends on your current system and whether it is OEM or aftermarket?

:agree:

I went to swap the back two sections from my wife's Elan to my Elan as she said her exhaust sounded too noisy. I then found out that they were two completely different exhaust systems so she's still got the noisy one  :burnout:

If you can measure the diameter of the pipe, likely 2", 2.25", or 2.5" (2.25" most likely on a stainless system) that will help with advice. Piper and Peco are the two usual suppliers of aftermarket SS exhausts, but I am not sure if there are differences in the pipe lengths which would make one system incompatible with another.

If you can get the pipe diameter and the length of the pipes, both easily measurable from underneath, then you should be able to source the exact part from one of those two, SJ Sportscars, Paul Matty or eBay.

In addition to Piper and Peco, there is also Powerflow who do stainless exhausts. Both 2.25" and 2.5"

Worth a look anyway :D :D
