Annoying rattle

I took the car for a spin yesterday

I have an annoying rattle, I think its coming from either the dash or top of windscreen

Is there a common rattle?

Tony - you would be amazed at how many.. and where from.. rattles you get in an Elan... but they are all fixable. Yours does sound like something I had... high freq vibration between the hood frame at the front above the windscreen and the plastic hood hand-pull down facia. I neat little strip of sticky-back foam did the trick for me.

Take a drive in mine , im gradually finding them but with the roof up it is really irritating.

As my Elan and I age it's rattles and my hearing loss increase in exactly the same proportions so I personally have no problems

I find the whining noise in mine disappears when I leave the wife at home

The rattle may be due to the snake Lotus hid in the power steering

or

from whats left of that pram and baby you ran over a while back.

You even had to replay the video 4-5 times before you saw him.

I did find one of my rattles was the rear view mirror just needed nipping up, may be worth a try...

Aha, the old 'tight cable rattling arround inside the plastic windsceen trim' rattle?????
