NEW AC/Delco Ignition Control Modules Found a Few more!

Postby Brit-Car-Nut » Sun 20.04.2014, 14:00

Found a supplier that didn't know what he had so scooped up a few BRAND NEW AC/Delco Ignition Control Modules. These are OEM, not Aftermarket Replacements.

Rock Auto Price for the SMP brand is $161.79 but I can offer these for $75.00 + whatever the shipping charges are to your address.

I only have a few, so....

John,
transferred the funds last night in the manner you preferred. Forgive my lack of knowledge, but is there only one on the car? I'm slightly confusing this with the coil packs.

I received your payment and sent an email confirming. There is ONE Ignition Control Module that gets TWO coil packs. The coils are not included.

I added a picture of the Module for clarification.

Please check your emails and confirm that I have your correct address.

Hello John,
thank you for the clarification, if I understand correctly then there are 4 coil packs and 2 ignition control modules on a car. If so does this imply a wise person would obtain 2 ignition control modules?
Can't find your confirmation email, I believe the email address here may be out of date and needs updating. I'll send confirmation of my shipping address on a seperate email.

Honestly, I haven't experienced it personally. Others report that misfire, non-starting and general poor running issues were all corrected by replacing the ICM.

I have a few used ones that have heavily corroded connections and would certainly not made good, consistant connections with the harness plugs.

With the Rock Auto price of $161.79, I have been looking for an alternative for a long time.

The units I found are OLD Delco part numbers that somehow never got interchanged with the newer replacements GM used in the mid-1990s (STILL quite expensive). Most likely, they had a different manufacturer build them when Delphi took over the GM Parts Division.

I have tried them on my car and I see no problems and my car runs fine with these ICMs and plain DR39 coils packs that sell for around $11.00 each on eBay.

I was just looking for an affordable solution for the future.

Re: NEW AC/Delco Ignition Control Modules - Found 3 more

My supplier had some more modules left.

I ordered 5 more so now have 6 BRAND NEW AC/Delco Ignition Control Modules available.

Same price as below. I doubt there will be many more after this purchase.

Bump: I found a few more again, but that is about all I think will be available.

A lot have sold, but I would like to move the rest as soon as possible. Not a Fire Sale so same price as stated.

Factory Original, Brand New AC DELCO Ignition Control Modules for the M100 at a decent savings from the RockAuto price.

Just a heads up: I will continue to offer these at the current price until the end of May.
I will be in and out of the hospital during June for end of chemo tests so I will be putting them on eBay the first week of June at their higher price to move them on.

Last 2 weeks to get a great deal.

Go on then, I'll take one (its one per car right?) and a set of 4 bolts. I'll PM or email you to organise, there may be a couple of other bits too. The amount of work thats gone into my car, I'll likely never part with it so a spare everything is a good idea.
