Dial Faces

Postby Elanlover » Tue 17.06.2014, 13:10

Available from Metal Monkey in the UK these stainless steel dial faces are available in a variety of finishes and backlighting colours. Metal Monkey can provide not only the speedo cluster dial faces but those for all three side gauges (turbo/clock, oil, volts) and the heater controls. Good customer service and excellent quality product. This is the link to their products.

Lockwood also makes a set of replacement dial faces for the Elan in 3 colours that cover the speedo cluster and 3 gauges (oil, volts, turbo but no clock). They can be purchased online at Lockwood's site here.

I'm very tempted to get new dial faces - but I'm not sure what colours to go for....I know ultimately it is a matter of personal choice - but who has fitted what to their cars? What looks right??

I like the look of the natural metal faces on the website - but I'm not sure how that will actually fit in the car, the black seems a better fit...then there is the choice of fore colour....

With my aftermarket gauges having been fitted which have white lettering on black faces I like the look of Henks dash with the white on black for all of the other faces so might be a job for the winter for sure

Great link to the "how too guide" as well

I went for this.

But didn't like the white tell tales so went back to the standard ones.

Recently I had Metal Monkey make up some black tell tales.
