Someone brought a bottle of this into work today, perfect for keeping hydrated when out and about in your Elan in this hot weather!

They were going to Morecambe (?) for a Vintage Festival. Friend of mine video'd them as he was there. Merlin engine x 8 sounded amazing!

Peeps been paying a lot of money to see them- Max has had 8 flypasts here but I missed the first ones as was encarcerated in Lincoln County. Seems like they use our house as a marker to fly over W/Spa.
Might start selling tickets for viewing and Barbie for extra £. ????

I phoned home last night.

Nicky told me that Levi our 3 year old had come upstairs as she was running the bath and explained " Mummy I opened a Banana but didn't eat it cos it was Rusty"

After more than several years of trying... I've eventually found a brand new pair of escutcheons...

Not the door ones... Thems easy... It's the boot and fuel filler escutcheons which have eluded me... :D

Now to source my quirky hood release cover mechanism parts...

And then on to the holly grail... OEM ABS parts for the Elan...

Chores.....

A little 11yr. old boy comes down to breakfast. Since they live on a farm, his mother asks if he had done his chores.

"Not yet," said the little boy. His mother tells him no breakfast till the chores are done.

Well, he's a little annoyed, so he goes to feed the chickens, and he kicks a chicken.

He goes to feed the cows, and he kicks a cow

He goes to feed the pigs, and he kicks a pig

He goes back in for breakfast, and his mother gives him a bowl of dry cereal.

"How come I don't get any eggs and bacon? Why don't I have any milk in my cereal?" he asks.

"Well," his mother says, "I saw you kick a chicken, so you don't get any eggs for a week.

I saw you kick the pig, so you don't get any bacon for a week either.

I also saw you kick the cow, so for a week you aren't getting any milk."

Just then, his father comes down for breakfast and kicks the cat halfway across the kitchen.

The little boy looks up at his mother and with a smile says:

"Are you going to tell him, or should I?

What made me smile today?

Taking the Elan to work, top down and almost in November. I smiled and even let out a gleeful giggle on the way home this evening when I got to see my 0.5 bar on the boost gauge as my arms got longer... Love it. Warm and dry, so top down both ways.
