Hi , I have just joined from South West Scotland.
Enjoyed reading topics from your site over the last few weeks .
I have a 1990 Élan SE which I am servicing at present, including timing and auxiliary belts and oil cooler pipes etc etc.
The oil filter access is fun, good old Lotus for this design!
I thought my 1969 Élan was tight, but the m100 wins hands down!
Great to be on the forum.
Regards
Iain

Great to have you on the forum, Iain.
Welcome and enjoy your Elan, even the cursing provides good retoric in the pub!

Gordy, you are very close to me, I know of 3 Elans in Dunfermline area, a red K plate and azure blue with M100 plate and a pacific blue with private plate E14N**, 4 if you count my own, I will hazard a guess yours is the red one?.

Thank you to all who dropped a note on to the Forum to welcome me.
Does anyone have a set of the steel oil cooler pipes at Tge rear of the engine for sale.
I am having the rubber hoses re-made at a local specialist but the metal pipes that come from the engine to the hoses are
Requiring replacement .
Thank You

Hi All, Thank you for the welcome to the LEC
My username Boarstabs Élan is nothing sinister , it's ny housename :- Boatstabs, with Élan at the end.
Sorry to seem bizarre , I am not strange, although I do have this passion for Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious, but fun all the same ! (:--)))
