Hi all. Can you get a tonneau cover for an Elan? what i mean is the flexible cover split down the centre with zip so you can close up the cockpit. I had one on my MG for years and Never used the hood. Any idea whereI can get one please,
Many thanks for help, Bryan from cold but sunny spain

As I understand it the answer is no!
One of the considerations is how it would be fixed along the sides of the car, it'd probably need fastenings drilled along the door and hood cover - not very pretty. And then there is the dash, how is that dealt with?
No doubt, if you can get around these issues there are plenty of upholsterers etc who could design and manufacture one but at what price
I agree though, it would be a nice alternative.

Yes and no, I spoke to one of the owners and his was the production version (much better) and the other was the proto-type.
I believe they cost £350, but dont hold me to that. not a bad price really, but a shame that the door has to be drilled to take the pop fastners.
Regards
Jim
and from that picture, the windows are down so is the door drilled on the outside or on the door card?
Alternatively, wear a large flowing skirt

...........as i get my wife to tuck the front of her skirt into the glovebox and that keeps her warm as the heater blower inflates the fabric..............Lucky Girl!!!
