Hi,
I'm replacing the Head Gasket, everything is removed and I think the head is ready to lift.
The problem is, it is only lifting from the rear of the engine, to the right of the turbo as you look straight on at the car.
The front of the engine isn't lifting, around the camshaft face of the head. It looks like something is holding it in place still.
Have I left anything obvious off or is it just very tight, it seems rock solid like it is held in place by a bolt somewhere, maybe an ancillary of something?
Any advice gratefully received !
Thanks,
Dave.

All sorted now.
It was the PAS bracket, section 5 says "release power steering pump bracket"
I just released the PAS pump from the bracket, leaving the bracket in situ.
The bracket needs to come off fully.
The head is now off, I'll post some photos of the gasket.
Thanks.
Dave.

Well done Dave,
Presumably it's easy to miss, would it be worth changing the title of the thread to "Cylinder Head Removal" for ease of searching in future.
