Hi,

I've had a few questions, I thought I'd post the answers on here for everyone.

Mileage- 98k
Bodywork shows its age, some peeling lacquer on the boot and spoiler
Interior - New carpet and mats fitted not long before I bought it. The rest is typical of its age, tatty in places.
Exhaust - VGC, 2.25" Cybox (Piper), sounds great
Head and engine not checked for cracks etc, but you can see clearly where the gasket went and there's no visual cracks.
Engine was otherwise a good runner and complete other than the dismantling needed to remove the head. Some of the studs broke when I took the turbo shrouds and downpipes off for clearance, nothing that can't be easily sorted.
Service history - stamped up to 79k, I gave it an oil and filter service including spark plugs when I got it a few months ago.

That's about it really, was a good runner, not the best condition, but reliable and a lot of work done in the last 6-8 months to bring it back to life, it was an MOT failure when I bought it.

So the head is off, a much bigger job than I initially thought, just got to remove the turbo and send it off for a refurb probably turning it into a hybrid, project creep comes to mind !!

Moved as per request. Glad to see you're persevering, because with the upgrades this sounds like a good car that just needs a bit of TLC to turn it into a REALLY good car!
Looking forwards to seeing your pics of the progress.
Oh and while the turbo's off, don't forget to port the wastegate - doubt you'll need to do any more to it than that and making sure the wastegate is nice and free.
