I am about to step into my 2nd M100 .. After a few Elise / esprit / Caterham and other makes ... Was wanting to know more on the following
If you can advise or point me in the right direction
1. I want to fit euro style number plates so need an English panel between the tail lights that can fit the wide euro / UK plate ... We had a different design here in OZ .. For more a US narrow design .. Hoping someone can source the parts for me
2. Tyres ... Point me to the threads on this .. It's an S2 with 15" rims .. What do we suggest please
3. Roll hoops ... Yes know all the mounting issues ... But I thought someone resolved all these ... Is there a proper roll bar out there ..
4. Carpet sets ... Was wanting to change the interior .. Is anyone doing easy fit OEM style carpets ? .. Thinking Red or yellow or green or tan / brown
5. Wheels ... Was thinking of throwing the wheels in storage and putting a set of 17" on ... Any photos of wheels and where can I get them
6. Race style seats ... Any one have them ... Type / and ease of fitting ? Photos too ..

That's about it
I still have an S1 Elise and Renault megane 250 trophy .. Also about to take on a TVR Tuscan ... Call me mad ...

There Are a couple of uk style plinths on eBay at the moment Ebay

The S2 is originally fitted with BBS 5 spoke 16inch rims, I'm guessing yours may have been changed at some point if they are 15inch. Most seems to like the toyo tyre options on here but it depends what you want, daily tyres or track tyres etc. Personally I went for a mid range set of Falken tyres as I use my elan as a daily driver and I've had no performance issues.

3. Roll hoops ... Yes know all the mounting issues ... But I thought someone resolved all these ... Is there a proper roll bar out there ..

As far as I know there are no "mass produced" roll hoops, but there have been a few group buys set up in the past for the Kuching style hoops.

There is a set of original grey carpets on eBay currently, if you want coloured ones you would have to have then custom made.

5. Wheels ... Was thinking of throwing the wheels in storage and putting a set of 17" on ... Any photos of wheels and where can I get them

There are a couple of treads regarding wheels, loads of options but you may not get the original offset easily.

6. Race style seats ... Any one have them ... Type / and ease of fitting ? Photos too ..

There are a few options requiring a few modifications. Many go for the s2000 swap, but others have tried mini, rx8 and slk seats.

I'm aiming for fast road use with daily drivability for tyre choice .. Falken sound like a good option

AFAIK the MINI wheels will fit - 5mm difference in the offset. Centre has to be bored out to fit. Nige had a set with his track tyres on, with no problem.

I have just 'made' a set of carpets for mine from black velour carpet (as used by BMW) - it isn't too tricky as the basic shape is just a 'bent and moulded' flat piece of carpet. By starting at the back, using the bulkhead as a flat datum point, I just layed a sheet of material along the footwell, trimmed it to size and applied spray adhesive to hold it in place. When first laying it down, I held it in the correct place by fitting bolts through the seat mountings with large washers before trimming. The footwell isn't totally flat, but i made the indentations under/behind the seats up to floor level with closed-cell foam, so there is only then a small step down to the front area. This can be heated with a hot-air gun to form the carpet to the correct shape. (Fiddly, but easily do-able). At the front I simply cut the carpet with a sharp blade, glued it to the bulkhead where it overlaps, and tidied it up.

Not the best of pictures, but shows the underfelt fitted, and the passenger side completed (but with a Hoover in the way!)

Monty has fitted race/bucket seats in his car, but (like many others) I used Honda seats - a search for Honda S2000 seats on the forum will show many options of colours/fittings. I went for a straight black set - which needed some repair work (see Wiki entry here). I fitted them using some 10mm Aluminium plates drilled to accept the original bolts to the car (with the OE spacers replaced with some M10 stainless penny washers), and new bolts (fitted from below) to the seats.

Did I see an Elise steering wheel fitted to a car above .. ... Is this a straight fit .. Do the splines mate up ?

Oh by the way .. This élan I've acquired has only got 8000 Km's on it in 20 years .. So it's like buying a new car

Yep, it's sort-of a straight fit - just undo the bolts which mount the wheel to the spline and swap them over - then it's a straight fit
