Newbie intro

Evening all!

A quick introduction of me and the M100 my Fiance and I seem to have bought this afternoon.

S2 557 is the car. We haven't even seen it in the GRP yet Deposit paid and collection next weekend.

We hope it is as good as it appears in the advert. Having chatted with the current owner I am confident we will be very happy with it.

I was hoping there may be a previous owner or 2 on here to offer some history?

I really hope there won't be much of a story to the drive from Hertfordshire to Manchester.

It's only done 3000 miles since 2006 so I will have my fingers crossed and my eyes on the gauges!

It has a fresh MOT and in that time had a lot of work done to it so hopefully it will be uneventful

200 miles home with no issues.

It's hard to believe it's 20 years old!

There are a few bits and bobs I need to do then I think it's a summer of driving enjoyment

I will post a few pictures tomorrow.

I need to research door window seals now. It has new looking ones but they don't seem to fit very well. Oh and the boot lock is a bit dodgey!

Yes it's in great condition having had a re spray, new screen, hood and seals wheel refurb etc in the last few years.

It's now on axle stands in the garage getting new cv boots x4, rear discs (someone in the past stripped a thread in the disc and decided to glue the wheel bolt in with body filler!) pads all round and braided hoses with new fluid to top it off.

After last weeks Cam and aux belt change and oil and filter I hope to drive it a bit soon!

That would be great. Do you get to the Knutsford meets at all? I will miss this months and next but hope to get to the August one.

That looks lovely. You're going to have to shift that clothes-line though, a) for better photo-taking opportunities, and b) to discourage little feathered blighters from leaving deposits when you've just finished polishing!
