hood frame

Postby jezf » Tue 28.04.2015, 23:04

hi everyone,
as a new m100 owner i was hoping someone on here could help me with the first of many questions with my new project?

does anyone have any diagrams relating to the hood frame?
the 2 central cross braces on mine have a mind of there own as they hang down unless pushed back upright. should the webbing control there position or should they be influenced by the side frame?

any help greatly appreciated

Welcome to LEC, hope you find it a helpful site.

Add your location to your profile so no-one asks in the future, and someone may be round the corner to help!

Take a look at my thread Ongoing Improvements and also a thread by Pascal here.

We have both replaced the elastic on our hoods and posted photos of how we did it.

Rayd also replaced his: links are in Pascal's thread.

Not a difficult job for a DIYer.

Good luck.

The elastic webbing usually controls the hoops, when it perishes it is not as effective and will need replacing. It is held in place with rivet plates so you will need to drill them and replace the rivets as well
