Black Leather Electric and Heated Seats

Postby Jamie N » Tue 12.05.2015, 13:56

1 pair of RX Leather seats in fantastic condition, The Drivers seat is fully electric and incorporates Lumbar support, Back rest, Seat base up and down, along with the forward and backward motion, The Passenger seat is fully adjustable manually. I have my own Elan fitted with the red/black version and have found the seating positions are fantastic, a major improvement over the old basic originals, along with the transformation in looks.

These ones have had the full modification to the runners and electrics and are now ready to drop straight in and wired up to power. I have removed the SRS from the side bolsters and reattatched the covers, no outwardly visible signs they have been removed.

A pretty unique opportunity for someone, apart from my own i dont think there are any other Elans with electric seats, the first time i sat in and operated power i had the biggest grin in a long time :-D, those ones can be seen here...viewtopic.php?f=39&t=24268 .

I dont fancy posting these so here is the deal... Come and get them fitted and wired up, decide whether you are happy with them and if so they are the paltry sum of 280, which i think is silly cheap considering the work needed to do the conversion and the condition of them.

Much nicer than the pics when you see them for real  .

Remember these are fully modified and ready to fit which will take around 1 hour inc the electrics (provided your seat bolts are not seized solid!).
These will transform the whole look and feel of your Elan interior, for how much  :D

Thats a great price for all in including fitting Jamie.

I would have been interested if I didnt already have a pair of S2000 seats to fit (I need to get a move on with getting them fitted).

by RX do you mean RX-7?

They do look great and I must say (as I have a split on my passenger one) I would be well up for that for £280!!!

Anyone nearer with spare seats and will fit for less than £300!!!!!

good luck with the sale,

They looked very tidy at Duns today and certainly made the interior more contemporary looking

Make some bases for the old seats and stick 'em in your sitting room

PS Hi Spec brake upgrade next, Everest chip, s/s exhaust, short shift kit and upgraded gear cables and you'll be well on the way

Hi, I don't suppose you remember where you picked up the power for the seats from do you? I have some heated seat pads I've fitted but I'm undecided where to take the power from

Many thanks

Sound advice if you have a Fed or LHD car. These instructions were written by one of our American cousins. The FED LHD electrics by the speaker are located in the battery compartment on RHD cars. You can take a feed from there. See page 12 of the electrical manual.

I located my on/off switch in the blank aircon switch position on the dash. I got my feed from there as well as the panel light feed for the new switch from the unused socket behind the aircon blank. I think I may have used the radio feed as the main feed for my heated seats. All works very well though. Well worth the effort and your passenger will appreciate the upgrade too!!

Thank for the advice I have stripped out the plastic panel and can see all the wiring so I'll have a go at it in the morning now, I've run the seat wiring up ready.
