Its a wrap

Has any one got any experience of wrapping their car? I don't want to re paint mine as that is too permanent but I fancy a classic livery for a season or two. Any thoughts on the subject?

I don't see it here, but it's rampant on most other car forums. I'd say go for it - it's a few grand and you have an awesome "paint job" that will look great and actually protect the paint underneath as well. I think you should go for the chrome wrap. Make the whole car look like a polished piece of aluminum or something.

I have considered that when i first got mine, (check the first page of my project thread in the signature) but checking the costs i figured out it would be cheaper for me to do the job myself with real paint.

Although i didn't do it, i think its definitely worth a try, as lotos said, "a few grand and you have an awesome "paint job" that will look great and actually protect the paint underneath as well."

A friend of mine wrapped his car recently

He went on a course to lean how then took 2 weeks off work to do it. He tells me he worked 8+ hours per day for 2 weeks to complete it.

The finish is pretty good. I recon by the time he has done a couple more I would let him do one of mine

I Forgot to mention, My colleague's husband has a 07 Europa wrapped in a dark-metallic-red paint, looks amazing and i only knew it was wrapped because i was told. so i can tell you that if properly done it will fool anyone.

depending on the company that does it they will do the detailed trimmings as well, I dont know about this europa but ill ask friday when i speak with her again, maybe i can get some pics for you guys next week.
