Anyone love Nature and Wildlife?

I had an email from the RSPB today basically saying " European leaders are considering rolling back decades of progress by revising the Directives in the mistaken belief that weaker protection for wildlife is good for business." Thanks Steven, I was starting to think nobody on LEC gives the slighest care for our Wildlife at all, but at least there is one , I mean If we cant look after our Wild places and Nature what on Earth can we look after , Its strange but i posted this on another Forum where i did not expect much response and i was gobsmacked by the amount of folks that signed the petition ,but i truly didnt expect LEC Members to bump it completely, very disappointing as most of our British Birds and rare Habitats are in deep trouble, very sad that so few people care.

I think this is more to do with the lobbying power of "big business", politicians have forgotten they are voted in by us to represent us and not roll over to the people with the biggest cheque books.

The EU Directives have made significant improvements to the environment.

The European Parliament does need an overhaul though as I have just realised I dont know who my MEP is!
