How do your CO and HC levels compare to last year after replacing the injectors? And are you closed loop?

Open loop (or is it 'not closed loop'?)

2012: CO 2.54 HC 158
2013: CO 0.14 HC 150
2014: CO 0.19 HC 108
2015: CO 0.19 HC 476

So the question is what did muley do between 2012 and 2013?

Looks like HC has gone up after injectors, but I also would be surprised if the engine wasn't fully warmed up (I wasn't there to witness it)

They look pretty good for open loop. Look at my closed loop, no cat.

Best figures of 0.432% & 69 ppm.

Lovely Bank Holiday lunch in Symonds Yat, then driving back on the A449 Ross-on-Wye to Ledbury, hood down, sun shining, heated seat panels working nicely.

HEAVEN :!: :!: :D :D

Just did an epic, and I mean epic trouser cough just before getting off the train.
Sorry anyone on the 7.30 from Putney to Windsor.

Well I laughed, but I felt like crying...

UPS delivered a box 39cm x 25cm x 14cm and I couldn't think what I'd ordered that was that size....

I was watching an old 'Wheeler Dealers' (as there are some good tips occasionally such as removal and refitting of bushes in this episode) and it was the Ford Capri Laser episode. They paid £400.00 for the car, bought various parts and provided a total spend of £945.00 (they must have forgotten to add in the cost of the new tyres or got them free!!) and sold it for................ £700.00. :poke:

However, the bit that made me laugh was the paint job of which the virtues were initially extolled by Ed and then, when it clear that it was crap paint job, brushed under the carpet (excuse the pun) and the "eff it - it'll do" approach was adopted (when it clearly wasn't!). The car was then sold, not as a two tone Capri but a three tone.

That front end just didn't match from the 'A' posts back! Not sure how the low resolution You Tube video appears on a PC but it did make me laugh!

The paint job is from 13.40.

Enjoy

regards

John

PS having said the above, the Capri would possibly be worth more now so there's something to say about keeping old cars on the road eh?

Thanks - that made me smile. :D
'Ed the mechanic' is certainly not 'Ed the paint-sprayer'. I see in the costings there is no labour cost so they can't even refuse to pay him for such a bum job..
Fords of that era had a lovely metallic paint process with lots of paint / clear lacquer / paint / clear lacquer that gave the metal flakes 'depth' and a nightmare to match when new, but Ed didn't get on the same colourcard.

I liked the girl trying for £500. Plus point for her is D reg is tax exempt and 1600 should be OK to insure so 'a cheap set of wheels'...
