I plot all of my mileage and fuel costs on a spread sheet and for 2 years I have always averaged 24 mpg. This weekend I went to Silverstone for the classic event. On Friday night it was cold and I was tired so I sat, with the roof up, at a steady 66 ish most of the way except for the 45 miles of average speed cameras at 50 mph. Today it was lashing down so I sat doing much the same all the way home. In total I completed 460 miles and my spread sheet indicates I got 34 mpg over the three days. I'm genuinely amazed. What are other people's experiences.
