There's a big clue in the description........pedal car!!!

The "8 cylinder rear engine" would be a dummy plastic moulding, not the real thing. And the final sale price of £672 would also suggest it really is a pedal car. Sadly I'd never fit in it these days..........

Sadly, they use a full stop like we use a comma sue le Continent. So it's 82 thousand (euros, I imagine)

Still desirable, though.

Correct. Picture and words pinched from a well known Belgian..... Now, how many trips to the supermarket will I need for a typical weekly shop? :burnout:

The pension statement has finally come through and here's a suggestion for something to fill one corner of the garage:

It isn't a Smart car, it's a Toyota Aygo tarted up by AM so the wife sorry partner can have an AM too.

I know - figure of speech, officer. So it's £10k for the Aygo, and £15k for the stick-on AM badge, then?

So, Pedro the architect has finally got his arse in gear and we should complete two weeks late next Wednesday. Rather than cleaning and decorating now that Sarah has gone back to the UK, I'm continuing to maintain quatters' rights in the ground floor and visiting the bank, estate agents and gestor every morning to make sure nobody forgets what we're here for. In the afternoon, I have to prrform a cost-benefit study on whether I go for a walk, have a drink, have a swim or hit the hot tub............ hot tub with a drink it is then.

Now that's the sort of Decision Risk Analysis that I could really get into.

How did you manage to talk your dear lady wife into leaving you alone in Spain? This is not an idle question - I am genuinely in awe and would love some tips on how I too could be allowed to pass my time in a warm Mediterranean country without ear-bendings or DIY slavery.

I didn't get the memo.
Spent the summer painting the house, fixing the roof and mixing cement.
:(
Mind you, I was allowed out in the Elan to get stuff at Sainsbury's today (allowed a pass from cutting the grass, clipping hedges and weeding) and when I got back to the car a bloke who was pushing the trolley for his wife said "nice car". :D

Also, I bought a new Garmin sat-nav with full Europe maps in the Curries next door. (part of the escape plan for next year).
That should be the last time I'm sent out to do the shopping for a while.

The trick is to have married a woman a few years younger than yourself......

....and / or......

....pursueding her that she has a civic duty to ensure that she gets the maximum possible state/private pension to get back all that she has paid in over the years....

...obviously, that entails having to remain working to get her full quantity of stamps for the NI, and gives a couple of years free grace until she has amassed the necessary length of service.

(well, it works for me)
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Well despite Pedro the architect's best efforts, we completed last Friday: 15 days late. Not ideal as we were living in the servants' quarters with the vendors upstairs but at least it was cheaper than a hotel and we have a decent snag list. Back on Friday but in the meantime.... time for a beer:
