No never!
I doubt I could have found a more honest original Elan or for that matter a more honest seller than gov if I had looked for months, very lucky.

Hi John
H244BFG was registered by Frosts of Chichester as their demonstrator so FG was the identifier for that area presumably.
Yours has migrated north over the years

seriously considering coming back to the fold if the right car turns up - finding an M100 up to my standard will be almost impossible but you never know ............ and it would have to be the right colour ie red or yellow - not keen on yellow cars but on a Lotus it looks great !
Also wouldn't discount an Elise ( again in red or yellow ) but not confident I would fit ( 6'7""

)

I'm sure there are Elans out there that would be up to the standard you would require to come back but you would have to travel far and wide and look at a lot of cars to be successful
As for an Elise, great when your in it but too compromised for me
The only newish Lotus I would consider (Evora apart obviously!) is the mid 2000's Europa
(and it looks like I have got the quote thing to work)

I agree on the Evora but my wife would not be happy about spending so much money on a "toy"

( in fact she would kill me ! )
I think it's just a case of being patient - living down here means "travelling" to find a specialised car is almost a certainty - had to do this to find the zed !

I rather fancy a Europa too; in fact Adrian Blyth has one at the moment which I have cast lustful eyes over

However, there are few about, and it's really hard to find details of specs and so on.
Maybe next year . . . . .

There are only 2 models of the Europa I belive, the original S then the SE with another 20bhp, better brakes and interior.
They were developed alongside the VX220, same underpinnings but a different body style.
