Hi All

Thanks for the reply Guys. One reason I bought the Mx5 is that at 60mph
the car will STOP in 116ft. A car travelling at 60mph covers 88ft per second. The overall stopping distance AT 70MPH ACCORDING TO THE LAST PAGE OF THE HIGHWAY CODE is 315ft being made up of 70ft thinking distance and 245ft BRAKING distance.

The Mx 5 is fiited with FOUR AIR BAGS a first for a two seater sports car
my car also has Abs, Traction Control, Limited Slip Dif, Direction Stability Control and Emergency Brake Assist.

The Hardtop folds away in 12secs from "Pressing a switch" with ALL THE OTHER CCs including the SLK YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR and
remove a particle board in the BOOT.You also LOOSE BOOT SPACE

However none these apply with the MX 5. You can "Drop Your Top" without getting out of the car. Boot space in a NOT problem as the hardtop folds behind the drivers seat.


Try doing that with a an Elan M100.

ONE PIECE OF ADVICE "GO AND DRIVE A NEW MX5 GUYS you will think
this is 2007 M100 Elan because the MX5 KILLED OF THE M100 and THE
M100 IS STILL THE BEST TWO SEATERS SPORTS CAR. When you get to be a GRANDAD you are looking for SAFETY and COMFORT and ONE LAST thing.

The MX5 has an IPOD CONNECTION :-another first in MOTORING inovations.

I used to work for a Mazda dealer. You just can`t compare the M100 with any derivative of mx5. The mx5 is better than the M100 in the same way that a golf tdi is better than a noble m12.
