Quite a common problem Stateside. At least there they were recalled and sorted free of charge. No such recall over here

Sorry I mistyped... The fuel pump is very loud after putting it back in the new tank. There is allot of pressure that makes the gas line rattle also.
What could make the pump so noisy now?

Within the pump assembly, in-line with the pump, there is a pulse dampener or pulsator. It may have been damaged somehow or is touching the return pipe?

See this link to PULSATORS for sale on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/272064279331?The Federal Recall of the Petrol Tank expired many years ago.

That sounds like what might be the problem. So if I need a new one what are the options if any?

You obviously didn't read the second to last line? It is now more prominently sized. It is a link to the CORRECT GM pulsator on eBay that also provides the GM part number so you can search for another source like Rock Auto...
BUT, RA's pulsators are significantly more expensive
Remember, GM owned Lotus in the days of the M100 and a significant number of parts used on the M100 are from the GM spare parts bins.
Your options are:
Buy a new replacement.
Remove Fuel Pump Assembly.
Replace Pulsator and check for any other damage.
Reinstall Fuel Pump Assembly.
See if that helped.

No more stumble. This problem has come and gone since I posted it. Months would go by and then it would be back only to go away again. A week ago it was really bad. Some of the problem was a low battery from sitting too long without plugging in the charger. It took 2 days on trickle charge to bring it back up.
I changed out the ICU and coil packs. Some of the insulating washers were missing. I made what I needed and reinstalled. Three good test runs and all is better. We were drive for over 2 hours tonight and it runs great.
