Hi Dave - long time no hear. Hope your back is still holding up ?
Back to the car

You're right. Andy had a couple of BRG's at one time, your old one plus another so he must have sold the other BRG to Liam. I think he drove your one and his girlfriend/wife drove that other (Andy also had Ailwyns Collapso Red, a Lotus Carlton and various other Land Drovers in his collection so hard to remember everything especially at my age)

I still have Dave's old Elan tucked up in my garage awaiting a new power steering pipe.
This K plate one which Liam has is a great car and if I could justify having more than one Elan I would consider buying it back

My back's not too bad, thanks. I suspect that it probably isn't good enough to allow me to drive an Elan without pain. That said, there's only one way to find out

Serial Elan owner: 2002 - 2012. I may yet buy another one...

Nice ad

good price, shouldn't hang around too long. Hope you have a quick and trouble free sale. A good time to start selling I think; I saw a bright thing in the sky today which means its time to open the garage door.
Andy
My wife's just divorced me because I wouldn't open the car door for her!
To be fair I panicked and swam straight for the surface.

Liam - I had a blast up and down to Embra last week in the yellow peril. Top down, 75 miles, 3C but lovely blue skies

Quite right Rambo! After I was finished taking pictures with the hood down I took it a wee drive for the sake of it. Hat and scarf on, heaters on full blast. It was actually quite cozy haha

Thanks Clemo.
I had someone come and see the car yesterday, kipperozzy from the forum. Nice guy and he very much enjoyed taking it a wee drive, but it just wasn't what he was looking for.
I have someone coming up from South Wales on Wednesday, but I will keep you posted and let you know when it sells etc.

Hi Morcii, thanks very much for letting me look over and also drive your Elan yesterday, I had a smile on my face all the way home. I'm sure the guy from Wales will enjoy driving it home especially as the forecast is good for this week.
I'm sure your new arrival will give you as much pleasure as the Elan , and like me when they fly the nest you can get another

Hi Morcii, glad to hear it, did the guy from Swansea buy it ?
Ive been looking at the outrigger horror pictures, what a shocker ! the one I looked at that had been outside under a tarp for ten years must have been well eaten by the tinworm !

He did make an offer, which I was going to accept if it wasn't gone by next weekend. But a guy came up from Manchester yesterday and made me a fair offer.
Outriggers are a pain, when you're looking to buy a car, you can't exactly rip up the carpet when you're viewing a car

Car is now sold. The new owner came and picked it up last week, hopefully we will see them on here soon
I've had a blast in my short year of Lotus ownership, and i'm sure i'll be back in the driving seat of a Lotus in the not too distant future
