Morning chaps
whilst examining the Progeron on my car the other day I noticed that about an inch or so back from the front there are two captive nuts/Threaded holes which I have determined take an M6 bolt. Anyone know what these are for?

The engine dampener? Or is that further back?

Could this be for the plastic undertray? They're roughly in that area.

don't believe it is the engine Damper as they are further back and these are bolts where once fitted the bolt head would face the floor, had a quick look in the parts manual and couldn't find the Plastic undertray, there is an undertray right at the front but on mine that doesn't extend past where the Progeron connects to the Front chassis cross member where the radiator sits.

I can't remember ever noticing such holes in the past - but I've not ever looked for them!
Could they be the fixing points for the extra FED bracket?

Have added the placement of the fixing points to the drawing from Dave. They don't appear to be in a position that makes them obvious for anything to attach using them

Bolts #24 are M8, so larger than the M6 you are describing. Maybe they are for the original assembly jig...

Well, on my Elan they are used to secure the plastic undertray with 6mm. set screws (stainless in my case 
) I've just checked.
