Nice... I like.

That looks very like Empire Green. I wonder if they marketed the same colour with 2 different names?
Dapinky may know. He had his sprayed Empire Green recently.

It is the same colour...... GM355 is the 'Official' colour code - listed as "Opel Imperial Green Pearl Mica", and as a GM code, it could only be used on a GM car (Lotus Carlton)....

..... however, Lotus used it on a few Esprits and 3 Elan S2's (from the factory, and who knows how many others since???) - even they were not "officially" allowed to call it Imperial Green in their sales paperwork, and so it was called Lotus Empire Green.

But we all know what it is, and what it's called

Hi Sinan,
From the last photo posted I'd suggest you check the handbrake cables. Last time I saw one at that angle it was only working on one side...

The Lotus Paint code should be B16 on the VIN plate (sticker) - but I haven't yet found any motor factors who recognise that code, only Lotus......

....but if they look for Imperial Green under Opel cars, it will show the code GM355 and say that it was only used on the Lotus Carlton. And that code gives the same colour composition on the computer.

Hi Phil, I havent checked personally but it recently got a brake job done and they told the brakes are okay.

From the parts Manual about changes:

S2 Introduction : July VIN R6001
- Lenghtened and Angled parking brake lever.

Can this be a S2 difference?

The S2 handbrake is indeed different to the NA & SE. Both Phil & I have SEs.
Hopefully an S2 owner can give you a better answer.

My handbrake is offset, but I don't think by that much (it's in having its oil leak sorted out so I can't check). It may also be that the LHD car is offset more than my RHD. I can take a photo when it's back if that would help?
