Anyone affiliated with Club Lotus Scotland?

Postby chris.t » Thu 14.07.2016, 08:31

I've had an inquiry from a chap in Club Lotus France who would like to get in touch with someone north of the border who has Club Lotus connections.
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Chris,

you'll know him on here as BigErch- he posts a fair bit of stuff on Facebook with Club lotus connections/events.

Chris,

What does he want to know? And which part of Scotland?

Archie, Rambo, ab2cv, Scott_J, me and the usual suspects are all members of Club Lotus in Scotland, but there are at least two separate venues.

The Central Belt lot meet in Bo'ness and the NE Scotland lot meet around Aberdeen. There's also LEGS (Lotus Enthusiasts Group Scotland) who are mainly Edinburgh area, but don't seem to mind travelling a hundred or two miles for an event.

I think he may want to arrange a Franco/Celt meet up. Archie will no doubt give details when contact has been established.

OK cool. I'm just back from a 3-week trip around Europe including about 10 days in France. Might be nice to meet some Gallic Lotus enthusiasts.

No doubt Archie will let us know what's up.

he might be best trying to contact LEGS on Facebook as that is more widely used. Bigerch etc on here sporadically. the LEGS site covers all Lotus models.

me too, 14 days in France, Normandy, Loire, finishing at Le Mans Classic, were you there ? I only saw 2 UK M100's there, a NMY and a red one with yellow callipers .

Scott,
Sounds like a nice trip. I was further south: Côte d'Azur, Burgundy, Alsace (Mulhouse), Switzerland & Italian lakes. The only other Lotus I saw was a blue Elise I saw twice at Cap Roux on the Esterel massif.

Now we're home. :(

Maybe if we're friendly to Chris's contacts we can all visit them.
