Which injectors to buy

Hi.
There are lots of threads here about injectors. But could someone actually tell me which injectors to buy from rcengineering please. I'm looking for a standard set of injectors for the lotus m100 turbo.

They are only $68.79 each on the USA site and £52.19 each on the UK site and might be in stock from the UK warehouse.

Hmm, I bought four Ultra-Power injectors (MFI559) from RockAuto two years ago and they were only $33. They've been working fine, but RA doesn't seem to have them now.

The Ultra-Power injectors were "end of life" stock and when they were gone, they were gone.

There are a set on eBay USA for $169.00 that are also " end of life" stock but the seller is a bit more greedy...

How long did they take to get here - just interested as my elans off the road until they are replaced - with the best weather we've had all summer typical.

I think it was just over two weeks

between 2 to 3 weeks . the injectors are slightly shorter in length but fit with no issues

On the subject of injectors, I have just read on another forum that a few of the Volvo's use the same injector. Anybody on here know anything about that one. Volvo 740 and 760 apparently.

How come so many owners are having problems with injectors these days. I've had 3 M100s and never had any issues

Is it something to do with the fuel and lack of detergent/cleaning additives ??

None of the injectors that are referenced to the 4XE1 Turbo engine have any other application - And I have checked that with the technical department of a global company that manufactures/markets injectors.

Probably because you use your cars - I don't think they like long periods of inactivity damp etc

I would have agreed with you but I have come across a few cases where either the injector coil packs-up, or the injector doesn't seal properly.

Absolutely correct, by my experience. My 1st M100 did 150,000 miles, no problem. Then bought a low mileage one and didn't use it that much, still only 56,000 miles, and had to have injectors cleaned by Scholar. 3rd one I'm using regularly.

For those who are contemplating a replacement the last set of these injectors left as mentioned in various threads - I just bought the penultimate set, works out roughly £180 with import and p&p included

Well it's a tough decision, it's tempting but I don't really need them, so ... I could anticipate but if I do that too often I will end up with a second car in spare parts ^^'
