It is with regret I have to put up for sale my fathers car.
LEC founder members Lotus Elan ... AKA Stripey Sy's car .
A well known car to those in the know. As shown on the top of the LEC banner.

Lotus Elan 1.6 SE Turbo - British Racing Green - 1990
MOT valid till 21st July 2017.
Full car history since 1998.
Family owned since 2002.
Meticulously cared for with the upmost attention to detail . Fully detail on LEC .
Most recently New Cam Belt, Alternator and Brake Pipes fitted. With Rear Callipers being restored and 2 new front tyres.

Everything done after service from Paul Matty Sports Cars. Well known in the Lotus world, mostly on LOTUS ELAN CENTRAL where cars history can be seen.
Private plate as seen, included in sale of car. Currently at 112500 miles on the clock (Though Engine was changed out for a circa 40K engine back 8 years ago with extensive rebuild). All interior leather re trimed by Lotus factory at Hethal. New carpets purchased in the Lotus after sales. Yellow Jim Clarke special edition S2 alloys (taken from Clemo's Emerald green S2 car) KIA rear 1996 light clusters and plate holder. LEC group buy Hi spec brakes fitted. Nardia S2 steering wheel ,Lockwood dials. SAMCO hoses. Thousands spent over the years. Car produces more BHP than stock @ 205BHP. British Racing Green - Soft Top, full respray (2004), GAZ Shocks (front and rear), K&N air filter, PM exhaust and AASCO fly wheel. Has Electric Windows, Kenwood Stereo, Central Locking, Alarm and Immobiliser. A Classic British Sports car which is a pleasure to own and a blast to drive.

Dan i am pretty sure that your Dad fitted a Quaife Limited Slip Diff ..

Wasn't there a group guy back in 2004 2005 ... Think he headed it up an import from the states .. We got clobbered for import tax , remember a pub chat about it . B bollox was mention a lot .

I dont think yellow stripes and yellow wheels and yellow carpets are up everyones street........
believe it or not I think that is all they see.........

I agree - a bit too much going on. I just keep thinking of seeing yellow inside the car ! How much to get rid of the stripe ? Paint both bumpers, bout and bonnet and rear spoiler. Some nice bits on it though.

A tough call for the chap to make as I know its was his dads and was well respected on here.
