when you're scrubbing up the interior, remember Honda S2000 seats look good. Unless you fancy refurbing the OEM's ? Craig Moncrieff in Embra' has a good contact. Roger from Perth had his done and they look fantastic ;-)

New cambelt would look much better ... :poke: :poke: :poke: :poke:

Totally agree. That, plus water pump, tensioner, idler and associated belts would be the top of my list

Bugger the seats, you ain't going anywhere fast with a snapped cam belt or leaky pump :?

Need to replace water pump, tensioner, idler etc is up for debate on a 42k mileage car ... but when they are so accessible, why not. Those at inconvenient failures but not an engine killer!
No debate about cambelt though - that's financial wipeout if that breaks and after sitting 6 years with a section bent inside out round the tensioner pulley it's much more probable than possible.

I wouldn't have even taken it for an MOT on the old belt ...

Guy's, all on order. Waiting for arrival. Not looking forwards to doing the cam belt though. Noticed one guy on Youtube and looked a proper PITA to do. Give me an Esprit anytime.

I recommend that you change the cam belt and water pump if it's been standing for 6 years.

Hi Alan. Jut to keep your mind at rest. All belts now changed, had to go to CMC Edinburgh to get it done, but now everything works as it should. Found a couple of air leeks on the vacuum system which was causing erratic idle so she is now ticking over nicely at about 850 RPM. I have driven her about 500 miles now and am well pleased with the end result. Will post a couple of final pics of the end result of the restoration.
