Bob's setup seems to use Elan front discs on the rear so 256 x 24 ventilated discs

Elan OEM front discs are vented. Bob's conversion uses solid discs as used on smaller Vauxhalls. I believe Mk1 Astra was one of them.

Thanks. It's not a Bob Brown conversion then as the rear discs are vented 254mmx24mm as OE fronts - but not OE as they are slotted. Don't know whether it was HiSpec then who decided on vented on the rear but I tried to weigh them on my wife's digital kitchen scales which reads to 5Kg and the display said **** so I concluded they were too ****ing heavy to use. Hubs weigh 2.24kg and I'm fitting 260mmx10mm solid discs that weigh 3.6kg so a bit more unsprung weight than the OE rear hubs with integral discs but I can live with that.
