Help!
i have totally stock Elan with Everest chip being the only mod. just turned 51K miles.
Out for an afternoon drive and while cruising down interstate at 70MPH, i floored the pedal and....
boost read up to 1.0 and acceleration kicked in, then stumbled, boggled down somewhat, not extreme, just enough to let you know something is wrong.
I was able to repeat the problem at varying speeds along the interstate, same issue. No check engine light, no extreme deceleration, just boggled, stumbled as if "blowing off" full power? The boost gauge did drop a bit when that occurred.
Even under "less than full throttle", but still pushing hard down on accelerator to get up and go, the boost gauge moves up and power comes on, but stumbles, flutters, so i have to let off gas to smooth out.
I did check and the rod under turbo attached to vacuum solenoid is "spring loaded" against the vacuum pod to the right and gripping the rod w/ vice grips, i'm able to move the rod to the left "against the spring load", then it springs back to the right.
Forgot to mention that during the above "episode", the smelly exhaust fumes filled the interior, and this was at speed with the top down. I wrote about this issue here:

Can someone lead me in the right direction to figure this issue out please?
