Not Santa, but by dear wife presented me with a Christmas card. Inscribed therein were words to the effect that she wants me to stop deferring action and finally, this year, spend the money I need to fix Smaug's small and large niggles. I am truly blessed to be married to someone who cares!

Now to order raft and suspension bushings, new dampers and the cambelt bits...

Engine is at <55K miles, so no rebuild but it's due for a cambelt change. Hood was new(ish) when I got the car and it's never raised anyway. Seals don't get used because... San Diego. Interior still looks fresh - no reupholstery needed. Tyres were new 4 years ago and have done maybe 3K miles but a couple of the wheels are out of round, so a wheel repair and refinish is due. Brake upgrade kit came with the car; I installed it a while back click for pics. But it's time for new suspension bushings and dampers, I think. And at least the front bumper needs a respray... and I need to fit the sump and new steering rack I've been saving. And upgrade the speakers. And get a nice detail...

And as you say, thank her profusely!
