Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and am looking to buy my first Lotus - but not my first classic. I've previously owned an MG Midget, a Triumph TR6 and a Porsche 944 S2 cabriolet - all pre-kids fun cars.
I live in leafy Cambridgeshire and am looking forward to meeting up and hopefully buying my car soon
Nice to meet you all
Rich

Hi,
What have you seen so far? The Elan community is quite close so if you see something for sale, it is likely that someone on here may know something about it.

Hi,
Thanks for the welcome and offers of help
I've not been see any cars yet. I enquired about a blue 1990 car on car and classic G 586 RFJ, but the car has not moved in a number of years and is in need of recommissioning. I timelessness to be used, so feel the work needed here makes this deal not so great - maybe I need a rethink ?
The other car I like the look ofis on eBay through the seller ta classics. It's more expensive, but seems from the details to be well cared for.
I'd still rather buy from a forum member though !

Rich,
3rd Monday in the month a group of Lotus owners meet at the Bird in Hand pub, Wreningham, very near Hethel and used as their 'local' - walls are covered in Lotus pictures. Always several M100 owners there, including a few who were involved in building them. Some of the guys originally came to find out what to look for when buying their Lotus and some have one of those on-going projects that means they've never yet arrived in a Lotus so you're be welcome with or without a Lotus...
