It's at the inbound side of the fuel tank.
Access is through the Hood stowage area.
Remove the black finishing cover that lines the whole area
There is a vertical access panel roughly in the middle of the vehicle - offset towards the side where the fuel tank is.
Remove this panel and you can see the fuel filter.
Be careful removing it.. the unions are liable to rust and it's easy to damage the fuel pipes

According to the Service Manual - Section on Fuel System (Pg14).
Access to the Fuel filter is available after removing the roof stowage compartment floor, via a removable panel in the body to the right of the fuel tank.
Hope that helps, picture in the service manual self explanatory if you have access to these
