The bespoke Header / A pillar seal....

The long thinner seal is fitted in the bracket that the original header was attached to, as in the 4th picture down.


I have a couple of sets available (first time one of these has been for sale on LEC!). Most folks on here will know the script.... uber rare, completely prevents the ingress of water along the header rail and the A pillars, long life EPDM rubber, the ultimate solution to rotted sponge and nasty aesthetics, exceptionally easy to fit and fitting advice always on hand from one of the most helpful Elan owners you will find anywhere (apparently ).

Stop it! My brother lives on Vancouver Island (Mill Bay), and he's spent the last three months taunting me about how good their summer's been compared with ours. Can do without it on the Forum as well

Just got my header/A pillar seal from Jamie how he makes them I will never know they are fantastic all I need now is the time to fit them. Thanks again Jamie.

Thirded; they're terrific. I had a minor problem with one of the side seals above the offside window, but I suspect that's due to the hood being slightly out of alignment, (which I'm not about to mess about with unsupervised!) Well done Jamie.

If Jamie has any of these set's left I would advise snapping them up while you can as they really are way better than a brand new set of OEM seals.

Production of them is a very time consuming and messy process and I doubt Jamie will continue to make them indefinitely so take the opportunity while they are available!

That's one of the (very few) plus point's of sponge seals Jonathan... they are a bit more forgiving than EPDM , the fit becomes a bit more critical with rubber seals, but especially so when you have a car that varies so much in hood alignment and door glass positioning, never usually anything more than a bit of minor fettling though.
