HPI CLEAR
DRY STORED OCT 2010 TILL APRIL 2017
FULL BRAKE OVERHAUL , INC :-

COPPER LINES , MASTER CYLINDER , X2 HANDBRAKE CABLES , CALIPER OVERHAUL .

OTHER PARTS REPLACED FROM MY SQUIRRELLED AWAY BITS , Such as the rear wishbones have been replaced from the originals to another set of SE's .

£700 SPENT TO GET THROUGH MOT AND SAVE FROM ME BREAKING IT

SOME PAPERWORK .

MOT LONG ENOUGH TO SEE YOU TO THE END OF NEXT SUMMER OR A GOOD RUNNING PROJECT CAR.

AT THE ASKING PRICE I WILL THROW IN A CAMBELT , BELTS , AND WATER PUMP KIT . (cam belt done in 2006 circa 106,000 = about 24k ago . Mileage now 130,000 . It would be good practice to get it changed sooner rather than later )

HALF LEATHER TRIM .

BODYWORK AVERAGE , LIGHT CRAZING / BLISTERING ON THE FRONT O/S WING . I HAVE 1 LITRE OF TETROSYL (A23) CALYPSO RED PAINT IN BOOT .

PRICE REFLECTS AGE AND END OF SUMMER PRICE .

This is a decent enough place to start , yes you can get better value for money and lower mileage if you wish to spend £5000 (even then the rubbers will still be a bit naff ) But for a bit of top down fun or a cheap way into elan ownership and tinkering then this is ideal. Without giving you to old flannel of prices are going up Blah Blah Blah lower priced cars are becoming more difficult to find due to these being worth far more in parts . Its to good to break i thought about it but just couldn't do it .It just need a bit of bringing round . Which with this you can do over time . Its all there and running .

Like the idea of owning an elan but know nothing about them . Jump over to lotus elan central . Years of knowledge from owner drivers . A great forum to be part off.

Looks like a good deal to me, underside does not look bad either.

Should sell quickly as low priced Elan's are not hanging about.
