One of the questions asks "if you own an android device what OS rev is it?" (or similar). There should be an option for "none" if you don't own one (sorry for being pedantic)> :D

I know I'm late (again!) but I've now done it.

One observation though - it only allows one option for "what datalink do you use" (or however the question is worded) - whilst I have entered 'elanscan' it isn't technically correct as that is on PC not Android, and I also use a couple of other diagnostic apps for the VW and Vauxhall (also Peugeot when I had one of those) - one generic one, and one VW specific.

Good luck with the project.
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

I was just wondering, If you didn't want to use the Android App although I'm sure I would, could Geoff's bluetooth dongle be used with Elanscan on a bluetooth PC? I'm assuming that it'd work by some sort of serial over bluetooth protocol. My laptop has bluetooth built in so this could be a tidy way for me to use the Elanscan PC program?

That's good. I think I'd just buy the bluetooth module and leave it permanently connected to the Elan. Then when I need the info just connect with whatever I'd got to hand.
