Elan Should Go Up In Value

Postby Rusty Wishbone » Tue 31.10.2017, 23:23

Autocar has posted a slideshow of sports cars that should go up in value. And the Elan M100 is on the list, with prices from £10k, which is reassuringly inaccurate.

Some other interesting cars are also listed, including the usual suspects of the NSX, DB7 and Boxter. Autocar seems to be targeting the US market because it lists several pick-ups.

I can make a list like this... There is an endless row of nice cars! Surely there are a few that indeed will rise in value...

I think that it was a quiet day in the Autocar office with no JLR press releases to regurgitate.

The latest issue of Modern Classics Magazine has a Daily Drive Heroes cover story pitting various front wheel drive cars against each other. The Elan is one of the cars featured, and comes out well. It also suggests that the Elan is a good prospect for an increase in value. It gives an optimistically high figure for a concourse standard Elan - from memory about £15k.
