:agree: Very good MOT History - only fail in 8 years was a brake light bulb, and hardly any Advisories...

Only unknown is the age of the cambelt, but it looks a good price for 88k miles. (Says cambelt changed at last B service but not when.)

A big ask but is there any LEC member in or around Warrington who could spare the time to have a look at this car to give me an honest opinion ?

Hi Tony,

I am in Warrington have only just bought an Elan have very limited knowledge of Élan's would love a plausible excuse to look at it but it would depend what detail of information you are looking.

Hi Nick- now you have owned an Elan for a short while I'm sure you have already gained a good knowledge on the basics - however on reflection I realise it is not fair to ask you to make a judgement on someone else's behalf - thank you for your offer though - it is appreciated.

I will revert to my Plan B - my daughter lives in Hebden Bridge - we are due to visit in a week or so depending on the weather - if the car is not sold by then we will divert on our journey up there .

Hope you continue to enjoy your car - roll on the spring :D

Yes. But not the original leather. They have been recovered fairly recently by the look of them

No worries, I think they are lovely, very capable cars, in my opinion grossly underrated due to snobbery by many about front wheel drive sports cars, but that enables us to feel superior because we know what others are missing  also makes selling the TVR a bit more bearable.

Car is now sold - apparently someone viewed it last Saturday and put a deposit down - took less than a week to sell - whilst I couldn't get up there in time I'm pleased for lucky person - it did look a good car with excellent provenance .
