My advice would be to contact Jamie to see if he has any A pillar seals left. Not only are they better than stock/OEM (rubber rather than foam sponge) but they look better and fit better too

He fitted new "prototype" rubber intermediate seals to Rambo on Sunday - it is the only M100 in the world with these seals so is totally unique in that respect

One of the great things about these is they wont rust solid to the hood frame with seized 8mm nuts that just spin and need drilled out, these can be removed in seconds, held in place with self tapping stainless Torx headed screws into an insert which has more available up / down adjustment than the originals. Quite a hefty amount of work goes into making these though folks so I wont be mass producing them I'm afraid, I should be able do a limited run for folks on the board if required though.

Hi Jamie N, I have read this entire post, which has been going a long while. I too would be interested in a full set of your seals. My fellow M100 owner members of the Lotus Club of Victoria (Australia), would also be interested.

I also contacted Seals Direct with a copy of your photo from the start of the forum that shows the cut out of the seal you found in the scrap yard bin. Here is their response (perhaps you could send them a small off cut to match):

As good as the A pillar seals are (and they are), you'd still be left with the spongy header seal.
I have a one piece A pillar header seal combo which is the latest and most efficient way of keeping the wet stuff out
it's something that Jamie has developed over the years and is far superior.

Hi Chris,
As Steve says, the one piece combined EPDM Header and A post seals are the way
to go if you are seriously looking to stop water ingress, fitted as per the instructions
they create a full barrier right around the top of the screen and down both sides.

Fitting new A pillar seals alone and leaving the original header in place
will more than likely make very little difference if you have the infamous water dripping
from the inside top corners of the hood, the primary culprit for that is the open cell sponge header
seal doing what sponges do best, soaking up water, but even a big long sponge can only take so much
before it starts dripping the excess into your car.

If you would like a set...(although the main seal is one piece you actually get 4 seals in the kit, which
includes a smaller profile seal for the hood and 2 forward hood seals which match against your Intermediate seals),
I can do them for you, however there is a period of about 2 weeks wait as they are only made by request as and when
required, no payment needed until I have them in the box ready to post, I don't even take a deposit and they are
always posted next day delivery guaranteed, ( sure there will be a couple of folks here that can verify a speedy delivery )
although you wont be getting that next day option for SK I'm afraid.

And besides excluding rain water from entering your prized possession they also make
it look ridiculously neat and tidy, although some will hate you for it .

I'm very recent to this forum having only had my Elan for about a month, I too havr noticed the water standing on top of the sill, this forum has been excellent for providing information and I must say thanks to all those that contribute.
