Tappets /Valve Hydraulic lifters
Set of 16 SOLD
They were brand new fitted to my car, the engine ran once and then they were removed as they didn't solve the problem; (sadly it turned out to be piston slap not tappet rattle).
I'm trying to recoup some of my losses on this one.

Can you remember your symptoms before you took the engine to pieces ?
My father said initially on mine that he thought a bit of piston slap but then two other people suggested two more different diagnosis !!
I'll find out hopefully in the next couple of weeks so might take these if HJ2 doesn't.
ETA. And what have you done now ? Rebore ? Over sized piston rings ? Or too far gone ?

Now sold to the Gentleman in the Netherlands!
Yes I can remember its like tappets but a bit more clunky. If you can get a scope in there you will see the polish and score lines on the cylinder walls.
I got new pistons (from the USA thanks to a great LEC member) and a good block from a donor car, with a complete engine rebuild.
It was cheaper than reboring and then having an over bored engine, I know its always best to be working with the OEM spec, less modifications less trouble.
